Leet / 1337 T-shirts

Leet, also known as “1337”, is a type of internet slang that originated in the 1990s and is still popular today. It involves replacing letters with numbers or special characters that look like letters, creating a sort of secret code that is familiar to those who are “in the know”.

For example, the letter “E” might be replaced with a “3”, “A” with a “4”, and “S” with a “$”. So the word “leet” itself would be written as “1337”. Leet can be used to write whole sentences, such as “h3y d00d, w4zzup?”, which translates to “Hey dude, what’s up?”
